The highly anticipated Isabel Marant for H&M collection has finally landed in stores, bringing Marant’s Parisian design aesthetic to the masses. The collection offers up her signature boho-chic style with slouchy suede boots, well-cut jackets, and leather trousers. The prices are slightly higher than what you’re used to spending at H&M, but the quality is elevated and the collection is still a great alternative for those of us who can’t afford Marant’s regular prices.
The collection has pretty much sold out in stores, but most of the pieces are still available online at H&M.com and as of yesterday over 1,000 pieces were already listed on eBay (the most coveted going for almost 10x the original price).

Based on last weeks post, I am clearly obsessing over the whole military jacket trend. I know this is not a new trend by any means, but I am in dire need of a new Army green jacket and not having one only reminds me how much I want to wear it, like everyday.
Like denim, the surplus shade of green should be treated as a neutral, making this jacket incredibly easy to style. So, whether you are in the mood for a casual, tough-girl look or a city chic style, the ever-versatile Army jacket is the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe.
Season after season, black booties continue to be the ‘it’ shoe that everybody has, wants, and possibly even needs. I personally do not know what I would do without my seven-ish pairs of black booties. I wear them year round and with everything from skinny jeans to skirts. I love the mad height they give my 5’ 2’’ frame and the fact they can withstand the miles of walking I do everyday.
But buyers beware, pick the wrong style and you might find your bootie looking less than the effortless accessory it’s meant to be. A bootie is not simply just a bootie, there are many factors to take into account; heel height, ankle rise, toe shape, instep – not to mention all of the trendy add-ons.
Check out my lowdown of the best black booties in a variety of styles, perfect for every body type. Hopefully it will provide an end to your search for the perfect pair.
Women with long legs should look for detail like ankle straps or studs as a playful way to add volume without bulk. For a petite girl, choose a lace-up bootie with a chunky heel; the higher the pitch, the longer your legs will appear. Girls with curvy legs want to put emphasis on a small ankle, look for a boot that hits right below or at the smallest part of the ankle. Thin girls with lanky legs can reach for a boot that ends well above the ankle, breaking up the line of the leg. For muscular calves find a bootie that ends at the top of your ankle, or an inch above, but below the thickest part of your calf. The key is to play down the difference between the ankle and the calf.

As the days get shorter and the temperature drops, a bright, bold shade is essential to reviving the standard neutral color palette of autumn.
This season, the fashion world has their eyes on one hue: dazzling blue. The shade falls somewhere between cobalt and electric blue, and is the official Pantone color of spring 2014. Thanks to Facebook and Citibike, the hue has already been getting major attention in our day-to-day lives.
