All of the biggest stars in music walked the red carpet last night for the Grammy Awards in Hollywood. The red carpet at the Grammy Awards is always one to watch, and this year was certainly no exception. Historically, the Grammy Awards are known for outrageous fashion, but due to the new dress code that has all changed. Stars still donned backless dresses, jaw dropping cleavage, and leggy slits, however, each were tasteful without being too over the top.
I broke down my best dressed looks of the night, check out who made the cut and let me know who made your best dressed list.
Rihanna- Rihanna made quite the statement in a ravishing custom-made red Azzedine Alaia gown. Despite the high neckline she radiated sex appeal due to the sheer panels of chiffon.
Taylor Swift- Multiple-nominee Taylor Swift was a goddess in a white Grecian gown by J. Mendel. Her look was perfectly complemented with an elegant braided updo, minimal jewelry, and metallic heels.
Carrie Underwood- Carrie Underwood dazzled in a black strapless gown by Roberto Cavalli. However, her 381 caret diamond necklace by Jonathon Arndt stole the show!
Kelly Rowland- Fresh off her Super Bowl performance, Kelly Rowland rocked a Georges Chakra mermaid-style gown. The geometric mesh panels left little to the imagination, while a sweeping tulle skirt exuded sophistication.
Carly Rae Jepsen- Canadian born singer Carly Rae Jepsen looked like a modern day mermaid in this striking beaded design by Roberto Cavalli. She complemented her look with a Reece Hudson clutch, Jerome Rousseau shoes, and jewelry by H. Stern.
Alicia Keys- The “Girl On Fire” stepped out in a black gown featuring a leather bodice, sexy cutouts, dangling earrings, and an elegant updo. This was not originally one of my top picks, but I give her props for keeping things interesting and taking a chance.
